About My Paleo Sister

We are Angel and Kristi, and we were obese most of our lives. Yup, obese. We started this blog to share what we’ve learned by going from obese to healthy weights and somewhere in between. This journey really started in 2011 when I (Kristi) found the book Wheat Belly and encouraged Angel to give up wheat with me for a month. Our lives were forever changed.

Angel started at 220ish pounds and got down to 140ish at her lowest over the course of 3 years. She has 4 children. Her youngest and my oldest are the same age and had the same due date.

I (Kristi) started at 274 the day I gave birth to my first child in 2011, and ended up around 145 in 2015. It was the first time I had been a healthy weight in my adult life. Since then I’ve had two more children. I worked off the weight from baby #2, but I’m currently still working off the weight from baby #3.

We want to share our ups and downs. Tips we learn or re-learn, and our stories. We settled on a mostly Paleo way of eating because of the nutrient density it provides and that it includes far less junk than the Standard American diet.
